November update

Wow,

I am in a new month already. What a whirlwind October was, so much happened and so much to look forward to this month. I am singing in a choir which I absolutely love and French and Spanish club are going really well. School life is so busy but all good fun.
I watched "The Others" - an introduction to slightly scary ghost films but hey baby steps! I checked out the new club in Macau - verdict, very pricey drinks and staff need to be a wee bit faster serving!
I am off to see " Tap Dogs" tomorrow which I am sure I will thoroughly enjoy.
As always I have been spoilt by my buddy, chocolate, coffee and flat comforts are always appreciated. She has been a rock to me in a week which has been pretty challenging! I had my flu vaccination today and have been advised to go to bed as I am all sniffly, snuffly and can not function!
so naturally I am typing my blog, always been a bit rebellious! I am looking forward to food on Sunday and a well deserved chill.
What else is going on in my life? My project is going well, although impossible to do, the aida count is so small I can barely see the holes and I will be dreaming about the subject for at least a year, finding a convenient time to do may be a skill I need to master!
I am missing my Irish super star's banter, cuddles and general awesomeness along with my all my other amigos!
Fellow blogees, I love you all!
Keep in touch!
Love always and forever

Hello fellow bloggers,

I can't believe how quickly time flies here! Weeks just disappear and life passes by so fast that I need to make the most of it.,
Recently, I have been at a loss , a combination of no sleep and walking into everything and generally leaving a trail of destruction has made me look at myself in a different light. I had  forgotten about my passion of sewing, I have therefore ordered some projects to help wind down after some crazily busy days at school. Dealing with pettiness from the other side of the world has not been easy which is why I feel some me time is important.
I have such a magical job and everyday brings new happiness and a challenge.
My own life has been pretty steady this week, no Hong Kong antics planned for this weekend, instead I feel a late night swim on week nights sounds like a lovely way to end the evening.
I have booked a last minute trip to Vietnam, a dream come true as I have always wanted to go since I saw 'Miss Saigon'
I shall be with my fellow Canadian travelling companion and one of the most influential people in my life!, someone who has taught me so much and helped me grow in independence and confidence.  I can't wait!
A massive shout out to my very special family memeber who turned 90 this week. So strong, such a character and I miss her and everyone dearly being so far from home
It is Halloween this Saturday and I shall be dressing up as ......... you will find out next week, it is the launch of a new club which is always exciting in the city that never sleeps.
As you can see from my blog, my head is everywhere this week. I feel that some rest and recuperation is something that would be beneficial.
Well love to all
Take care

2 months in Macau

Hello all,

This is my second blog and I feel that I understand how to do this! How do I feel? Reflective - these two months have been a yo yo of emotions from the feelings of elation to feeling incompetent at times! There is always a lot to learn about yourself and how you are perceived.
My Irish goddess has been an incredible support and  making me laugh is her speciality :)  not forgetting my Spanish senoritas and Scottish babes!
Anyhow, I went to my first opera ' Mozart and Salieri" - if you haven't seen it, it is about two composers, one of which was allegedly jealous of Mozart and may have been driven to drastic measures. It was so moving especially the rendition of  ' Requiem' - my artistic superstar - (she lives up to her name) was fantastic and gave me a heads up and certain visual clues as the subtitles were way up in the air so you had to crane your neck to read them!
Next adventure is a Cello concerto this Friday which will be fabulous!
My wee superstar and I are venturing to Hong Kong this weekend to be reunited with some people from our summer job, it will be lovely to see them and see Hong Kong apart from the air and ferry port!
Food as always plays a massive role here and this weeks' culinary adventure was a Japanese restaurant which was incredible, the salmon and scallop sushi was a taste sensation.
It is a  very special birthday for a very special member of my family and I am sad that I will not be there in  person to celebrate it with her but I will be thinking her at this special time!!!
As I write this post I feel surrounded with love from everyone in my new home and work  to everyone at home which is a lovely feeling, it makes me feel happy to be surrounded by so many lovely people.
Man front - haha! Another day! A year is 525,600 minutes and I intend to live everyone to the full!
What else is happening? A new casino is opening - shock!! Which definitely means an excuse to dress up and check that out. My shopping addiction has not improved as I have discovered that these mini havens deliver here!
Love to everyone always

First two months in Macau

Hey all,

So this is my first ever blog all about my life out here in the city that never sleeps. Life has changed somewhat. I am living in this incredible place where everyday is a new adventure and learning experience. I can hardly believe that I have been living here for nearly two months!
Where to start? - The place that I live in is full of glitz and glamour, opulent shopping centres with shows, performances, swimming pools and concert venues. There is a dance water show which I am dying to see. Casinos are big business here and when I venture out of my tranquil flat, I am surrounded by casino hotels on every street corner!
Making new friends is so important and aside from living with my artistic star friend who has helped me navigate my life and way round this city, she is really a diamond and so glad that I get to share this experience together.I have been blessed to meet new friends who have introduced me to new music, cultures, adventures and food.
Food is a massive part of my life here - I have sampled Chinese, Korean and Portuguese delights washed down with local beer or Sangria.
Sometimes my life feels like a dream, it is so different to my one in England yet I still feel the same person that I always am. There are times when I feel homesick of course, this is my way of communicating to all of you lovely people all about my life!
Well that is my first post and I will write a new one soon.
Love always to everyone
